As an enrolled member of the Menominee Nation and a construction professional with over 15 years of experience, Bob brings a first-hand perspective of accomplishing projects on native lands; He has served clients from both the pre-construction and construction aspects. His familiarity with how construction progresses in the field is highly valuable in the process of pre-construction.  He offers our clients a 360-degree perspective of their projects from concept to completion in terms of schedule and budget.

Bob is also active in many industry organizations and native-related groups and councils.  He is passionate about giving back and working closely with all native nations and frequently guest lectures at colleges and industry organizations.

With 27 years in the construction industry, Chad has served at all levels of responsibility.  Starting as a Project Engineer, progressing to Project Superintendent, Project Manager, and ultimately to Director of Pre-Construction for a large Arizona general contractor.  Chad understands the financial, operations, and management side of construction projects. He has assisted owners on Design-Build, CMAR, and Design/Bid/Build projects.

Chad began his professional career working and living on the Navajo Nation in 1993. Over the next 24 years, he completed numerous projects on native lands, including some of the largest projects built on the Navajo Nation.  This experience gives him a deep understanding and appreciation for native values, culture and traditions.

History of Kenēw, LLC.

Kenēw, LLC. was created by its founders, Bob Terry III and Chad Hafstrom, with a vision of serving the needs of Native Nations related to the construction industry.  After working together for over 10 years at a general contractor, Bob and Chad decided to create a company that would bring their unique skills and talents together to benefit owners and other professionals in the construction industry.  Kenew has a special focus working on native lands with leaders and community members to successfully bridge the gap between owners, architects and contractors and deliver the highest quality projects.
